Field Notes
Field Notes allows participants to add annotations directly onto drill pages within UDBapp. Each participant has a personal layer for their own annotations and pins. Directors can also create and edit shared layers visible to the full ensemble or specific roles.

Unlike personal or shared Design Notes, which appear on a separate screen, Field Notes are added directly to the drill and remain anchored in place as users pan and zoom around the page.
Each Member has a personal Field Notes layer for annotations and pins that only they can see. Administrators can create up to 8 shared layers and control visibility by role. For example, a layer can be restricted to Administrators only, shared with Administrators and Staff, or made visible to all participants.

Layers can be hidden or locked. A Member assigned to brass, for example, may choose to hide a percussion-specific layer that is not relevant to them. Administrators can lock layers to ensure they remain visible to all participants.
